about the ACS InfoHub
The Australian Community Services InfoHub (InfoHub) is a private subscription service designed to support the professional information needs of the community services sector.
With the dedicated sponsorship of Uniting NSW ACT in a social enterprise arrangement, along with other key members of the sector, the InfoHub strives to be a one stop 'info' shop for members to: investigate issues impacting their service users
discover how to develop service delivery design programs with positive impact achieve policy or funding objectives, and ultimately support their clients to thrive
The founder of the InfoHub, Deb Fowler, is a qualified Information Specialist and Librarian with extensive experience with designing, developing and delivering information services in a variety of fields including public, corporate, academic and not for profit sectors. These have included:• ACAP University College (current part-time position)• Uniting NSW.ACT• NSW State Library• NSW Parliament Library• MND Australia• Relationships Australia NSW• Medibank Health Solutions• Northcott Society
• Local public library services - Parramatta City, Hills Shire, Ku-ring-gai, Gosford, Hornsby Shire
In her spare time, Deb works on a casual basis as a Community Builder on the Carer Gateway Community Forum, as well as being the founder of Coalo-Chatswood, an independent peer support group run monthly for carers of people with a significant mental illness diagnosis.
The infoHub is keen to support the valuable work of community services practitioners by providing professional information and practice wisdom from evidence-based sources. Members will also have access to education and training to build their awareness, resilience and skills for identifying dis/mis-information in the age of social media and AI.

- Reference support using the services and collection online or on-site
- Coaching individual or team members to research effectively using databases, Google Scholar, Google and AI research tools and the Zotero Reference Manager for organising research materal
- Tailored suites of journal alerts, subscriptions, memberships or search alerts on request
- InfoHub Alert to keep you informed of relevant news and resources from the InfoHub service and across the sector
